APRIL 7, 2007 - Scott and Allergy & Environmental Health Association host Mad Science® family event at Beaverbrook Community Centre
Scott Simser and the Allergy and Environmental Health Association were pleased to sponsor a family fun event on the environment held Saturday April 7th at the Beaverbrook Community Centre in Kanata.
"Dr. Molecule" entertained about 15 children and their parents with a one-hour "Mad Science" show titled "Wacky Waves - Black and Blue Oceans" about the hazards of oil spills in the oceans and how they harm wildlife. Click on the image to enlarge.
Representatives from the Allergy and Environmental Health Association along with local resident Dr. Meg Sears were on hand to answer questions about the impact of pesticide use, how to have a healthy lawn the organic way, and the environment in general.
Mad Science® is a world leader in science enrichment, delivering unique, hands-on science experiences for children that are as entertaining as they are educational. For more information, visit their website at www.madscience.ca.
The Mad Science show was a community event, unrelated to Scott's nomination bid, held to promote awareness about the enviornment.
